Obituary for Anneliese Auguste Lanfermann

Anneliese Auguste Lanfermann was born in Heidleberg, Germany in 1917, to Remicus and Gertrud Kohler. She came to Canada in April of 1932, at the age of 14 to join her mother and uncles in St. Walburg. She attended school to learn the English language and then commenced working for the Hardes family where she met Theodor Lanfermann. They were married in St. Walburg in 1937, and farmed the Leison land across from Karl Imhoff's. In 1939, they moved south of Paradise Hill and then to the present Lanfermann farm. In 1964, they moved into Paradise Hill. Theodor passed away in 1984. Mum continued to live on her own until 2007, when a stroke necessitated her move to the Jubilee Home in Lloydminster where she passed away on September 3. We are all very saddened by her passing but are filled with joy that she has been released from her pain and struggles and is now in the loving arms of our God. Rest in peace, Mum.
